“Bucket list item #1 – check”

“Bucket list item #1 – check”

I received an email about The Reality of Truth documentary from the Thrive Movement last year and watched it online. It had a profound effect on me and although I had never been drawn to plant medicine previously, I was at this time. I considered it #1 on my newly created bucket list but had no idea how it would come to pass. I knew of others who had taken a primitive trip up the Amazon and stayed in huts, but didn’t think I was up for that, especially at my age of 65.

It all came together for a January 2017 trip. It was my first time to travel out of the USA since 1987 and my first time to fly since pre-2008. It was all very stressful, but I have to say my tribulations were deeply rewarded by making the effort. The staff, the accommodations, the food, the workshops, the massages, the plant ceremonies and attentive assistants, the shamans, my fellow journeyers. I know I’m leaving someone/something out, but I can very strongly recommend Rythmia as a vacation destination if you’re looking for the trip(s) of your lifetime. I took an Outward Bound trip in 1978 on the Deschutes River in Oregon and have to say the Rythmia trip is definitely another life transforming experience. Will definitely repeat.

Stayed January 2017, traveled solo
